SQLServer 2008 R2--'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered

I'm using SQLServer 2008 R2 and Office 2010 on a Windows 7 64 bit. I am trying to use the import wizard to import an excel sheet into a table. I get this error:  The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. (System.)
